On 18th July I began the task of painting the plaster with white bare plaster paint. I know you can use normal paint watered down, but this paint had great reviews and seemed a lot simpler to use! It was such a huge difference actually seeing paint on the walls, the house began to feelContinue reading “Time to paint!”

More progress!
So it’s been 3 weeks since I updated, the plaster upstairs is all dry but then there was a further delay getting the 30 bags of plaster needed to finish the rest of the house. You learn something new every day!
So I recently discovered that the thing I always thought was a door frame isn’t actually a doorframe, it’s architrave?! Am i the only person that didn’t know this existed?! Just spaced evenly throughout,Continue reading “The plumber fell through the ceiling!”
Back to 1990!
When ripping up the carpet this week, Mike found laminate flooring underneath, then an interesting layer… they had used newspapers as underlay for the laminate floor! It was so interesting to read the papers & to see the adverts from 30 years ago.. wine was SO much cheaper! The house prices were listed in theContinue reading “Back to 1990!”
